That’s right – the land of Foster’s Beer, kangaroos, fantastic beaches, even better waves, where Utzon’s magical design daily shines and where our crown princess Mary was born. Australia, the big Down Under. We have just been on Mornings with Kerri-Anne and Rasmus is now talking to anybody who wants to listen at the baby fare in Melbourne so if you are in the proximity of Melbourne please swing by and give him a hug. Know he would greatly appreciate it.

They state this research will take place over the next 18-24 months. In the interim they support the removal of BPA from baby bottles and cups and support those companies that have already removed BPA from their formula packaging. However, they did not go so far as to tell the public that they should be avoiding BPA or that they should switch to BPA-free baby bottles or infant formula.

More research is always a good idea but there comes a time when we know enough to act and that time has come for BPA.

Hope life is absolutely exciting, vibrant, energetic and powered up with some good vibes after a hopefully very joyful Merry Christmas and a fab and funky New Year. Very, very excited to launch 2010 by sharing some completely outstanding news with you (and the rest of the world) namely that iiamo has just won a 2009 GOOD DESIGN Award - one of the most if not the most prestigious design awards in the world. 
iiamo won together with among others Apple, Aston Martin and NASA (how cool is that!!!) and will be exhibited at The Chicago Athenaeum in the GOOD DESIGN Show for 2010 in Chicago in June, 2010.

Lots of love to superstar Karim Rashid and his design dream team.

Not a bad way to fire up 2010!!

Being one of the Interior Design Award honorees and receiving Best of Year 2009 Merit Award we got this price sent directly from Guggenheim (a hand-painted picture of iiamo go most likely made by some famous artist f….. up on crack - but we luv it and are proud as hell).

Da jeg var gravid med Kasper, snakkede Thure og jeg meget om, hvordan han mon blev. Hvordan var hans lille personlighed, og hvem af os ville han komme til at minde om?

Nu har vi haft ham i næsten tre år og én ting, som er Kaspers helt egen personlighed. Det er hans evne til at dele sin kærlighed. Med hele verden. Han deler rundhåndet ud af den og giver gerne et kram til alle dem, der gæster os. Også selvom de kun har kendt hinanden i tre minutter.

I søndags skulle vi i Tivoli, for han sagde, at nu turde han godt. Nuvel. Men inden vi gik ville han godt lige tegne en tegning til Tivoli-manden. Altså ham, der ejer Tivoli. I Kaspers verden kan det kun være én mand. Han tegnede en fin stor cirkel med nogle dingenoter. Det var en bjørn.

Vi drog afsted mod Nisseland i Tivoli, men det havde resten af København også gjort. Det vil sige, at køen nærmest løb hele vejen fra indgangen til Amager. Vi droppede det og kørte ned på tanken for at se på bilvasken. Noget som en Kaspers helt store passion. Pludselig siger han: ’Men hvad så med min tegning mor?’ ’Tjaa, siger jeg, vil du give den til en anden?’ ’Ja det vil jeg. Til tankmanden’.

Og i dag var tankmanden så altså bare en teenager med munden fuld af togskinner. Ind troppede Kasper og smed tegningen på bordet sammen med sin is.

Kasper: ’Den er til dig’

Tankdame (meget rød i hovedet over kærlighedserklæringen): ’neeeeei tak, sikke en fin ballon du har tegnet.’

Kasper: ’Det’ en bjørn’.

Tankdame (omend mere rød i hovedet): ’nårhja, det kan jeg da godt se’, hvorefter hun kigger på mig, som om hun vil spørge om det er okay at lyve overfor børn.

Hun blev så befippet over tegningen, at hun nærmest var ved at gi’ mig en pakke tyggegummi gratis, så jeg er sikker på, at Kasper en eller anden dag bliver en fantastisk kæreste. De skal muligvis ikke holde i hånd i ballongyngerne i Tivoli, men masser af kærlighed. Det får hun.

Salad. It’s too crunchy how my mom makes it. It should have chocolate chips.

Go for the chocolate chips. Go to it, go to the mattresses. Go off your rocker. Go away from everything starting with a “should”, go work on what you wish you dared to. Go from pillar to post. Go designing, go dancing, go to the greengrocer’s and back. Bring your baby. Or don’t.
